E ai, rapais!
It was the year 2002, when I heard for the first time legendary Tim Maia on radio in a beautiful
place in Brazil. I liked that funky James Brown attitude. A small copy you would say. But then I found out that
the funk was played with "muito amor" and from great musicians.
Even today the new brazilian scene and international acts such
as dutch based Zuco 103 add with respect that funky style to their
music. Here some samples of good and new stuff and some brazilian legends...
